Brenda E Bentley
I came from a large family, and half of my childhood was spent on my family's dairy farm. I earned university and graduate degrees in Linguistics from the University of Wyoming and the University of Texas. I and my husband raised three children, and spent six years home-schooling them. I was supposed to be a PhD, but in the end I never developed a vocation other than MOTHER, and most of my jobs have usually been stand-alone or sidebar gigs.
As a devoted walker, some of my special interests are things we see from the sidewalk, such as graceful fountains, human-scaled buildings, pretty pedestrian bridges, beautiful public squares, majestic trees, clean-flowing water courses, and other symbols of civilization and gifts of nature that point to the enduring good, true, and beautiful. These and so much of the world are well appreciated at three miles per hour.
